Last weekend was all about spreading the love with your two legged companions and we here at GrabOne feel that this weekend should be all about showing love to your four-legged companion so that they don’t feel left out.
They never judge
You came home late, your whereabouts are questionable . . . do they care? Nope. Do they think less of you? Nope. They’re just happy you’re home. They don’t care that you are wearing last nights clothes and stink of beer, kebabs and regret. You can do whatever you like, wear whatever you like and as long as you treat your pets right, they will love you all the same.
They will never leave you, ever
Your pet is happy to remain loyal to you forever. If pets could use Snapchat, you’d consistently be their number one friend. They won’t run off and leave you for your one down the road; it doesn’t matter that she works in a butcher’s and carries sausages in her pockets – you’re their number one forever and always. They may like getting petted by strangers and sniffing other cats and dogs’ bums but nobody and nothing compares to you.
They don’t complain about your choice in music or TV
So you want to watch every single football match on TV and repeat it all again with a back-to-back Match of the Day session. Your dog doesn’t care. He won’t roll his eyes, sigh loudly, give you death stares and threaten to leave unless you change the channel. Hey, as far as he’s concerned, the TV is all yours. As for music, you can warble along to Sam Smith at the top of your terrible lungs and he’ll think you’re a god-dam superstar.
They force you to exercise
This is especially true for dogs. They’re never happy with being cooped up inside the house all day. A little daily walk is essential for their health and for yours. Now if you just had yourself to worry about, you’d come home, put your feet up and flake out all night feeling guilty for all the moving about you’re not doing. However, when you have a dog to worry about, you become less selfish and ensure they get some fresh air and a good stretch of the legs. You both come home happier, healthier and a little bit more fabulous.
They’re always there when you need them
Sometimes it’s just nice knowing that they’re there. You have a bad day in work but when you return home, you’re greeted by an over-excitable little fluff-monster who couldn’t be happier to see you. The bad-day feelings slowly melt away as your face gets licked to death. You know those times when you feel like crying for no reason whatsoever? It feels better when you have a little pet beside you to give you some comforting, quiet company.
They appreciate everything you do for them
Your pet will never turn his nose up at the present you gift him with. That new squeezy toy you gave your cat? She thinks it’s the best thing ever! You lay out a bit of food for your dog and she practically knocks you over with joy. No gesture is too small for your pet and making them happy is such a feel-good buzz.
